Crafts and How to Make Them

Ideas for Mothers Day

  1. Bath Salts:
Mix 1 cup of baking soda with 5 cups of Epsom salt.
Add 1/2 oz of any essential oil, and you're done!
    Package in a pretty jar.
  2. Lip balm:
Melt together 1 part beeswax and 1 1/2 parts oil (coconut oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, etc.) in a double boiler.
Add a few drops (use your judgment) of your favorite essential oil (Mint or Citrus derived oils work the best).
Pour into a little pot and wait for it to cool!
  3. Milk bath:
Add a 5-10 drops of essential oil to 1 cup of powdered milk. Mix.
Package in a cute bag, old glass milk bottle or jar!
  4. Invigorating sugar scrub:
Add 1/2 cup of olive oil (or a 1/2 cup mixture of other oils... just not vegetable or canola) to 1 cup of sugar.
Mix in a few drops of your favorite essential oil or a tablespoon of mint extract! Package in a small jar.
  5. Easy Clay Mask:
Mix 1 cup green clay (for oily skin) or pink clay (for normal-dry skin) with 1 cup oat flour.
Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil
(mint would be invigorating, and lavender would be soothing, chamomile would be comforting). Mix well.
Package in a jar with a label that instructs to mix with approximately 2 tbs. of water before applying to face.
